Like all other graphics card manufacturers, Gigabyte - which also hides behind the Aorus brand - quickly bounced back when introducing Nvidia's GeForce RTX 30 Series to offer its own versions. First of all, the brand decided to focus solely on the RTX 3080 and 3090, which is available in 8 cards on four bands: Aorus Xtreme, Master, Gigabyte Eagle and Gaming.
All of these cards will be "overclocked" from the factory and will benefit from a cooling system called Windforce 3x which, as its name suggests, has three alternating fans to reduce turbulence and improve ventilation. Fans are able to shut off when GPU load allows, to make cards completely silent. Equipped with a PCB-enabled backplate and a clip at the back to allow a portion of the airflow to flow, all these cards are equipped with RGB LEDs with configurable behavior via RGB Fusion 2.0.
As with other manufacturers, the exact operating frequencies remain unknown, but all the main characteristics of the cards are respected as presented by Nvidia. Note the use of two 8-pin PCIe power headers in the Eagle and Gaming Editions, be it the RTX 3080 or 3090. This will be a checkpoint for Aorus cards which, of course, with the most significant overclocking, three of these connectors can be exploited. In all cases, the manufacturer recommends using a 750-watt power supply.
